Refund Policy
A subscription's first payment (monthly or yearly) is refundable only if you have generated 0 or 1 reports and request it within 7 days of that payment. After that, and for every renewal payment, subscriptions are non-refundable. A normal cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Report-credit purchases are non-refundable, whether or not the credits have been used.
Why it works this way
ShopGrade is a metered product, each report generation has a real cost (AI analysis, field-data lookups, report hosting). A time-plus-usage window lets you genuinely try a paid plan while preventing the "generate a month of reports, then refund" pattern that would make fair pricing impossible for everyone else.
Subscriptions: what qualifies for a refund
- The request concerns your first payment on a plan (not a renewal), on either the monthly or yearly billing option.
- It has been 7 days or fewer since that payment.
- You have generated 0 or 1 reports on that subscription.
All three must be true. Renewal payments are non-refundable. If you no longer need ShopGrade, cancel before your renewal date; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, so you keep access until then and won't be charged again. Plan changes are prorated immediately by Paddle.
Report credits
Pay-as-you-go report credits ($19 for 2 report generations) are a one-time purchase and are non-refundable, including unused credits. Credits never expire and remain on your account until used.
How to request one
Sign in at dashboard.shopgrade.in, open Plan & billing, and use the refund section. The server checks the payment date and subscription report count before it submits a full refund to Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Live refunds may require Paddle review. You can also email support@shopgrade.in from your account email if the self-serve check is unavailable.
Billing access remains active while a refund is pending, but new plan report generations are paused so usage cannot cross the refund limit during review. If Paddle rejects the request, generation unlocks automatically. When Paddle approves it, paid-tier access ends immediately, the subscription is stopped, and Paddle returns the money to the original payment method. The time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
Cancelling or downgrading instead
Cancellation and plan changes are separate from refunds. A normal cancellation is scheduled for the end of the period you've already paid for, so you keep full access until then and are not charged again. Upgrades, downgrades, and monthly/yearly switches are applied to the existing subscription and prorated immediately by Paddle. At cancellation, your account drops to Free; local leads and audit history stay on your device, and purchased report credits remain on your account.
Billing problems
If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, charged after cancelling), contact us and we'll make it right. Those situations are handled outside the standard policy above.
This policy does not limit any refund or cancellation rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
